Farmers Market readies for Saturday

Our next market, on June 16th, will feature some of the freshest, local produce around from Darmo's Farm, in Moorestown since 1907. Desiree's Desserts specializing in providing very small to large desserts made with high quality ingredients, zero trans fats, zero artificial dyes, additives and preservatives. Michelle Tomlinson's Potato Salad, the ultimate side dish - for years a staple at the Alden Cafe in Maple Shade. Coda Rossa Winery, whose passion for wine goes far beyond the delicious aromas and flavors that exist within each bottle. Taste wines from NJ vineyards

At next market Balic and Coda Rossa Wineries will focus a spotlight on fine wines made locally. Coda Rossa, named for the red-tail hawks that live their our vineyard, is located in the heart of Franklinville and offers a fine selection of red and whites as well as wine-making for groups or families. Balić Winery, in Mays Landing, makes more than 27 award-winning wines. These vineyard will offer tastings and wines to Merchantville Farmers Market visitors on 6/16.

Consolidation meetings on hold

After three merger meetings and no progress towards funding a study the consolidadtion process is on hold. Meetings originally scheduled for May 1st and June 5th were canceled by the commission. At the last meeting, in March, participants from Cherry Hill Township requested that several legal questions - including liability issues - be answered prior to considering sponsorship of an RFP for a study consultant.

Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
