On Thursday, January 16th, the Girls Garnets from Haddon Heights High School won their fifth basketball game in a row and improved to 9-3 overall - extending their winning streak - and 6-1 in the Colonial Conference Liberty Division, a game behind first-place Haddon Township. Emma Harris buried four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points to lead Haddon Heights past Haddonfield 39-33 in Haddonfield. Haddon Height's High girls softball loss is Oklahoma's gain. Merchantville native and Haddon Heights High School softball standout, Sophia Bordi, has re-classified and will be missing her senior season to join the Oklahoma Sooners - four-time reigning college softball champions.
