Run Like A Zombie

Race through historic Monsterville on Saturday, October 29th, in your favorite costume at our annual Zombie Run. Chip timing, text messaging within seconds of finishing and an HD finish line video! Shirt size and availability through Saturday October 16th.  Shirts for those registering after 10/16 will be on an as-available race day morning. Awards top 3 overall male and female,  $!00, $50 & $25.  Age groups top 3 male and female, 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The race starts at 10 East Chestnut Avenue in Merchantville, NJ US 08109. Sign-Up today for the Zombie Run 5K -Start Time: 10:00 a.m.  or the 1 Mile - Start Time: 10:00 a.m. Registration ends October 29, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.

POW/MIA Remembrance Service

At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 17th, at the POW/MIA Remembrance Service took place at Grace Episcopal Church. Members of F.W. Grigg Post 68 and Scout Troop 119 remembered the thousands of service men and women who never returned home or are still missing and scout Meredith had the honor of carrying the POW/MIA flag. This event was hosted by the Merchantville American Legion Post 68 in conjunction with the Camden County American Legion committee. During the service the flag and its meaning were explained, a missing man table service was preformed and all that attended were given an opportunity to hold the flag. Afterwards, Merchantville Scout Troop 119 installed the flag on the church's flag pole.

Two Honored By Council

Not one but two celebrations took place before and during Merchantville's Borough Council meeting on August 8th. First, a thank you, farewell and well-wishes were offered to Halil Gungor, proprietor of the Blue Monkey Tavern. He was presented and the "Keys to the City" in recognition of 18 years of service and memories. Next, the Borough recognized Sophia Bordi on her stellar freshman year leading the Haddon Heights Lady Garnets Softball team through a fantastic season that included numerous shut outs and taking home the State Championship and Tournament of Champions! Sophia is recognized across the country for her phenomenal skills both as a pitcher and behind the plate. Congratulations were shared with both.

Valentine Night Party

Shop Where Your Heart Is! Several of your downtown shops - Aradia's Treasures, Heartfelt Creations, Flowers Your Way, Brotherly Love Creations and The Hunter Gallery will gather at Nicole Nurthen Photography, 2 East Maple Avenue in Merchantville for an entertaining evening on Friday, February 6th. Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color". This show features local artists including center owner, Nicole Eiland, and others: Beth Fisher, Alison Judah, Kerry Mentzer, Nathan Rutkowski and Leeannwyn Stoner.
