Although the story lines wildly differ, this one unique theme stands out brilliantly. From the quirkiness of Lettice and Lovage and, the selfless strength of the small town librarian in Alabama Story,

Fire & Ice Festival

Mark your calendars for the return of Mount Holly's 2023 Fire & Ice Festival on Saturday, January 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on High Street! It’s been a bumpy road for the festival these last couple of years, considering interruptions for Covid and the Blizzard of ’22. So you can imagine just how super-stoked we are to be coming back full strength at our festival this year. Check back here day by day as we add more and more details to the event-offerings this year. Yes, there will be a Chili Cook-off. We’ve got some great chefs lined up already. And yes, a bunch of beautiful ice blocks will be carved this year too. Attendees will once again be able to enjoy some hot eats while observing some frozen works of art and other activities at the annual Fire and Ice Festival. Scheduled for Saturday in the downtown area and Mill Race Village, on Church Street, this year's festival will feature more ice carvers than last year. Enjoy a pint at Village Idiot Brewing Company and watch the ice carvers right out our front window.
