Children and adults alike will enjoy the opportunity to ride the train with Santa on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Specially decorated PATCO trains will make three trips, leaving the Lindenwold station at 9:10 a.m., 10:40 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. and picking up passengers at all stops along the way. After enjoying their ride with Santa and his elves, complete with seasonal music, Santa’s Sleigh passengers can shop at Christmas Village in Love Park, check out the light show and “Christmas Carol” display at Macy’s or strap on their ice skates at the Rothman Rink at City Hall, among many other family-friendly activities. The Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Merchantville Pennsauken Water Commission that crews will be replacing a water main on River Road and Union Avenue in Pennsauken beginning Monday, August 12th. During this time, stretches of both River Road and Union Avenue will be closed during work hours. From the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. crews will completely close River Rd. between Lennox Rd. and Union Ave. This project is expected to last several weeks and will require detours for motorists who typically drive through this area as part of their commute. The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Friday, November 13, 2019.
