Pick Up Pickleball

The game of pickleball is the latest rage in South Jersey and has a growing following in Pennsauken - especially for seniors. Pickleball is taught and played at the Browning Road and Chestnut Avenue courts on Thursdays at 4:30-6:30 and Saturdays at 10:30-12:30. Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong that can be played both indoors and outside by all ages.

Salmonella melon recall

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday that the recall includes cut watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe produced by Caito Foods LLC. A total of 93 people in nine states have reported experiencing symptoms after consuming the fruitThe fruit has been sold under various brands or labels at Kroger, Walmart, Trader Joe's, Target and Whole Foods. Health officials advise consumers to check packaging to determine if the melon was distributed by Caito Foods, and, if so, not to eat it. They advise stores to pull the products from shelves.

Bauer's Candies recall

The FDA issued a warning to consumers to discard their Bauer’s Candies “Modjeskas” — an individually wrapped marshmallow candy covered in chocolate or caramel — as the treats may be contaminated with hepatitis A. “We are advising consumers not to eat and to throw away any Bauer’s Candies chocolate or caramel Modjeskas, purchased after November 14, 2018 because a worker in the facility tested positive for hepatitis A,” the FDA statement warns. That employee worked at the company until November 23, 2018.

Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
