Eventually, Merchantville became Merchantville, Whiskey Road became Chapel Avenue and, in 1895, a larger church was built at the same spot. But the chapel remains and is now Trinity's Fellowship Hall. "Children's Day" in Merchantville originated in this church on the second Sunday in June 1966 by its pastor Rev. R.S. Harris. A beautiful stained glass window in Trinity's Sanctuary, containing a reproduction of Bernhard Plockhorst's "Christ and the Children" commemorates this event.
