East Chestnut Closure

Public Notice: Beginning on July 7, 2025, East Park Ave will be reopened to traffic. However, East Chestnut Avenue from Gilmore Avenue to Centre Street will be closed due to road work near the Gilmore/Chestnut/Park intersection. No through traffic will be permitted at anytime while road work is in progress. During this time residents ofEast Chestnut Avenue will still have access to their property. Volunteer As A Firefighter

The Merchantville Fire Department – Niagara Fire Company is actively looking for firefighter recruits from the community willing to serve in their neighborhood. Volunteers make our firehouse a home. We are on call to respond to a range of emergencies 24/7. Although these volunteers do not receive a salary, what they get in return is much more rewarding and valuable.
