Program transitions dropouts to college

Camden County College will begin offering high school dropouts throughout the County the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and get a jump start on college through its new Transition to College Program beginning this fall. This new initiative is a commitment from the Freeholder Board and the college to support educational opportunities for kids that want to learn and want to pursue higher education. No Smoking in the Parks policy

On July 19th the American Cancer Society launched a public awareness campaign on the County’s No Smoking in the Parks policy. Signs are being posted in all our parks to make sure residents understand that Camden County’s parks are smoke-free. The Freeholder Board has banned smoking in all locations within the Camden County Parks System, and is especially concerned about smoking around the parks’ playgrounds, where children can be affected.

Haddonfield-Berlin Road Improvements

Camden County will begin roadway improvements this summer on Haddonfield-Berlin Road (Route 561) from Evesham Road to Laurel Oak Road. The $2.5 million project will be completed at night to lessen its impact on motorists and area businesses. The improvements include the resurfacing of the roadway, drainage improvements and streetscape enhancement. The approaches to the intersections at White Horse Road and Evesham Road will also be resurfaced.
