Caregiver Support Group

Branching Out to Caregivers is a caregiver support group that provides resources and health caregiving. Join us on January 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Haddon Township Branch of the Camden County Library System to learn about caregiver stress, legal concerns, respite programs, adult medical day centers, Alzheimer’s and dementia education and much more. This event is presented by the Camden County Board of Freeholders, Department of Health and Human Services Division of Senior and Disabled Services and ADRC. January Freeholder Meeting

A Town Hall Meeting, hosted by the Camden County Board of Freeholders, is scheduled for Thursday, January 23rd, at the Camden County Boathouse in Pennsauken. The meeting includes a Q&A session, providing residents the ability to ask questions and get answers straight from a representative of the governing body and elected officials the opportunity to hear directly from their constituents. Following the Town Hall meeting will be a services fair featuring representatives from several county departments. Pearl Harbor Commemoration

The Camden County Freeholder Board and Gloucester County Freeholder Board will mark the 78th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, December 7th 1941, on Friday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. on the Battleship New Jersey. The attack on Pearl Harbor led to the subsequent entry of the United States into World War II. The ceremony will take place on the fantail of the battleship. The event is free and open to the public. Free County Flu Shots

The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services recommends everyone get a flu shot this flu season, especially children and seniors who are most vulnerable. The flu shots are provided for no-out-of-pocket cost. Flu vaccinations are provided for children age 9 and older at the flu clinic sites. Children under the age of 9 need to see their primary care physician. Download the Flu Shot Schedule or for more information, contact the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services at 1-800-999-9045. This coming week they will be offered in Cherry Hill on Wednesday, 10/30, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Katz Jewish Community Center, 1301 Springdale Road. Camden County also offers adult and child immunizations all year long by appointment at its Bellmawr and Camden sites. Census Job Fair

In preparation for the 2020 Census, the Census Bureau is planning to hire as many as 3,000 part-time workers in Camden County to follow up with households that do not complete the census form voluntarily. The census job application is fast, convenient, and available online. Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
