A Town Hall Meeting, hosted by the Camden County Board of Freeholders, is scheduled for Thursday, January 23rd, at the Camden County Boathouse in Pennsauken. The meeting includes a Q&A session, providing residents the ability to ask questions and get answers straight from a representative of the governing body and elected officials the opportunity to hear directly from their constituents. Following the Town Hall meeting will be a services fair featuring representatives from several county departments. The Camden County Freeholder Board and Gloucester County Freeholder Board will mark the 78th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, December 7th 1941, on Friday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. on the Battleship New Jersey. The attack on Pearl Harbor led to the subsequent entry of the United States into World War II. The ceremony will take place on the fantail of the battleship. The event is free and open to the public. The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services recommends everyone get a flu shot this flu season, especially children and seniors who are most vulnerable. The flu shots are provided for no-out-of-pocket cost. Flu vaccinations are provided for children age 9 and older at the flu clinic sites. Children under the age of 9 need to see their primary care physician. In preparation for the 2020 Census, the Census Bureau is planning to hire as many as 3,000 part-time workers in Camden County to follow up with households that do not complete the census form voluntarily.
