Growing & Thriving!

According to a recent article in the C-P, South Jersey has seen a growing population within recent years. And some of the fastest-growing towns in South Jersey include little ol' us! Merchantville Borough ranks second in data collected from the United States Census Bureau's annual estimates of the resident population for minor civil subdivisions from April 1, 2020, through July 1, 2024. Our town grew by 10.60% from 2020 (3,815 residents) to 2024 (4,226 residents)

2025 Garden Tour

The 2025 Merchantville Porch & Garden Tour is back on Saturday, August 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Stroll through beautiful porches and gardens, explore the enchanting Tiny Forest, enjoy live music, demos, local shops, food, and so much more! 2025 Kids Summer Program

It's time to register for 2025 Parks and Playgrounds! This fun and active summer camp for the kiddos runs from June 23rd through July 25th weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Youth counselors lead campers in crafts, sports and creative play. Plus special visits with the Merchantville Police, Merchantville Fire, The Green Team and much more. Please note, there is NO camp on the July 4th holiday.  Please return your registration form to Borough Hall with registration fee payable by cash or check to the Borough of Merchantville.

County Awards Millions in Road Repairs

On Thursday, May 8th, the Board of Commissioners kicked off a historic investment in roads, bridges, storm water drainage and other aspects of infrastructure throughout the county. Due to Saturday’s weather forecast, Merchantville's Birthday Celebration is postponed. A new date will be announced. Every June we celebrate Merchantville's founding in 1874 and this year is our 151st birthday! Oh Deer!

Please be aware that deer are living around our community - off Clayton & Magnolia Roads - and may be seen more frequently in residential areas in town as construction down the street at the Hampton Road housing development appears to have driven them from that wooded habitat to find vegetation. New Jersey’s white-tailed deer herd is a major component of the landscape throughout all areas of the state. Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
