Businesses meet March 29th

Just a reminder that the next Merchantville Business Association meeting is this Thursday, March 29th at 7:00 pm. There will be a get together beforehand in Café Bella Vita, 43 S. Centre Street, at 6:15. Please join us for a slice of gourmet pizza and refreshments. Eleven business owners attended the March 3rd meeting and much was discussed. Spending up 8.5% this Valentine's Day

Listen carefully today — Valentine’s Day — and you’ll hear expressions of love and the ring of cash registers. According to the National Retail Federation, the average person celebrating Valentine’s Day will pay $126.03, from buying jewelry to enjoying nice dinner out, up 8.5 percent from $116.21 last year. It’s the highest in the survey’s 10-year history. Total spending is expected to reach $17.6 billion, the retailers association said.

Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
