Knights rule

Congratulations to the soccer and basketball champions of Merchantville Elementary School. Mayor and Council presented proclamations at tonight’s meeting. On March 20th, Merchantville School unveiled the championship banners for the Boy's Basketball Team this season. They won the Division and League Championships under Coach Moore and Coach Bennett's guidance and represented Merchantville School well on the court. Thank you for a great and exciting season. Great job teams.

MES supports heart challenge

Merchantville School participated in the annual Kids Heart Challenge. Students raised funds for the past month for this worthy cause. Today the students in Pre-K - 4th grade celebrated with hula hoop and jump rope activities in the gymnasium. Congrats to our champions. This is a fun and exciting event where students learn about their heart while helping others and raising money for the American Heart Association. The Kids Heart Challenge prepares your child for success through physical and emotional well-being.

MES Basketball wins Championship

Congratulations to our boys basketball team on their big division championship win over Alice Costello Elementary School in Brooklawn. Carrying on their winning tradition Merchantville School's boys basketball team defeated Brooklawn. The 1947 boys' basketball team won the Group II state championship in 1947 vs. Weehawken High School, and again in 1965 vs. Clifford Scott High School in East Orange, NJ.

Take Your family To School Week

February 11th through 15th Merchantville School celebrates "Take Your family To School Week" featuring a daily menu of special events. Join your fellow families for an evening of ‘Breakfast for Dinner’, pancakes, french toast, eggs, fruit, and breakfast meats, all provided by Amy’s Omelet House. BYOG! Wear your PJs and bring a board game for some family fun after dinner. Find out more about math programs at school and play fun math games with the whole family at STEM night. Visit your child's class during our Open House on Wednesday. Go to our webpage www.merchantvilleschool.org to view times available for you to visit your child’s class, and see a typical school day for our students. Be on the lookout for our ‘hearts’ we are sending home for your family to share a sentiment on Valentine's Day, and send it back in to school for display. And, join us for the week's finale at our annual Spirit After Dark event! Bring the entire family to compete in exciting relay races, and cheer for your team! Grades K-5: 6-7PM, Grades 6-8: 7:10-8PM

Valentine Night Party

Shop Where Your Heart Is! Several of your downtown shops - Aradia's Treasures, Heartfelt Creations, Flowers Your Way, Brotherly Love Creations and The Hunter Gallery will gather at Nicole Nurthen Photography, 2 East Maple Avenue in Merchantville for an entertaining evening on Friday, February 6th. Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color". This show features local artists including center owner, Nicole Eiland, and others: Beth Fisher, Alison Judah, Kerry Mentzer, Nathan Rutkowski and Leeannwyn Stoner.
