The Camden County Office of Emergency Management is implementing a new emergency notification system, or reverse 911 system, that will keep Camden County residents informed in the event of an emergency.  Residents and businesses may add or delete phone numbers by visiting www.camdencounty.com and clicking on the icon for Global Connect.

The Camden County Parks Department will no longer collect fees from county residents for the use of athletic fields or picnic areas.  Camden County residents will continue to be asked to apply for park use permits to ensure the facilities they are requesting are available, but the fees will no longer apply to residents.

Winter has been on hiatus across large sections of the country, but multiple systems are pushing across the Northern Tier of the country through the weekend, bringing heavy snow to the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Northeast. A bill declaring a break from the federal authority is now heading to Governor Phil Murphy’s desk to become the law of the Garden State. In a move aimed to shift vaccine policy authority from the federal government to the state level, the New Jersey Assembly voted 51–24 to pass legislation granting the state Department of Health (NJDOH) power to issue its own immunization recommendations, independent of the federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
