Prenatal Yoga Workshop

Kate Holden from Soulflower Yoga has two amazing prenatal workshops coming up. Next week on Saturday, April 10th join her at @dharmayogawellnessstudio from1:00-2:00 p.m. for a beginners prenatal workshop to learn breathing exercises and yoga poses to help you connect with your body and your baby in a safe environment. This class is open to all levels, even those who haven’t done yoga before, and is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. On Saturday, May 10th, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. we will be diving into essential oils and a holistic approach to all things pregnancy and labor. We will share how to enhance your journey through pregnancy through essential oils and which oils to avoid to keep both you and baby safe. Pilates & Pours Outdoors

Join Erin Chambers from Real Girl Method for a socially-distanced all-levels Pilates Mat class outdoors at Eclipse Brewing, 25 East Park Avenue, Merchantville, on Saturday, April 24th from 11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. Ticket price includes a one hour class and your first pour or flight. Attendees must be 21 or older to participate. No refunds. Boxes of LOVE

The "Love in Motion" youth group is collecting the following items to make thirty (30) boxes for local mutual aid. Items needed are: shelf stable rice, canned vegetables, canned chicken, baby wipes, hand wipes, bar soap and toothbrushes. The items can be picked up or dropped off before Friday, November 20th. Free NJCEED Cancer Screenings

The New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJCEED) Program at Virtua is a cancer screening program for Burlington and Camden County residents who meet certain age and income requirements. To enroll in the program, you must be between the ages of 18 to 64, uninsured or underinsured, and not able to pay for the screenings you need. NJCEED provides breast, cervical, prostate and colorectal cancer screenings for those who qualify. Clinical breast exams, mammograms, Pap smears, pelvic exams, PSA blood tests (for prostate screening), and fecal occult blood testing (for colorectal screening) are among the services offered by the program. To determine eligibility for NJCEED, you must fill out an annual services form, consent form and a declaration of income and insurance status form. For additional questions, please call 856-247-7388.

Wellness Center Adds Practitioner

Merchantville Medical Wellness Center recently announced the addition of Houtaneh Houtan, NMD, who joins Dr. Jennifer Phillips in offering naturopathic medicine to area residents. Houtan studied biochemistry at Syracuse University as an pre-med undergraduate, where she discovered the need for holistic medicine alternatives then,g raduated from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2019 . Naturopathy focuses on the critical role that natural medicine can play in the realm of reversing disease. Her favorite medicines include clean nutrition, botanicals and homeopathy. Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
