Robert Welty, 91

Robert Welty, Sr., 91, passed away on September 20, 2021 at Cedar Grove Respiratory and Nursing Home in Williamstown, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Jessie Anna Welty (Dexter), his brother, John Cashner, and his sisters, Shirley Rhine (Cashner) and Judith Harter-Wary (Cashner). Robert is survived by his son, Robert Welty, Jr., his daughter, Donna Lee Robinson (Mark), his son, Curtis Frederick Welty (Peggy Sue), six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 9:30 am at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home at 2426 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ. A service will follow at 10:30 am with a burial at Bethel Memorial Park in Pennsauken, NJ. Full obituary.

Kenneth Larsen, a longtime Pennsauken resident passed away after a brief illness on Friday, October 8, 2021. He was 56. Ken was a dedicated coach and board member of the Merchantville Little League for many years. He was also a member of St. Peter RC Church in Merchantville. Son of the late George and Lorraine Larsen, he is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lynn (nee Prescott); a beloved son, Kenny; a dear sister, Laurie Szogi (Tony); and a cherished niece, Gia. John Alloway

John N. Alloway, 60 passed away on September 20, 2021. he was a life-long resident of Merchantville and is survived by his loving and devoted partner in life and business, Connie McGlynn, dear son John and his mother Elizabeth, sisters Mary Beth (Frank) Spitz, Rosemary Brooker and Regina (William) McGrail, uncle Bryan McKernan and many nieces and nephews. John was a 1979 graduate from Bishop Eustace, earned his Bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University and was the owner of the Alloway Funeral Home. John was very active in his community, serving as a Merchantville Councilman for 12 years and a Camden County Committeeman.  He was a loyal Roman Catholic and very proud to be a Past Grand Knight of St. Peter Council #6735 and a member of the Bishop J.J. McCarthy Assembly 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Visitation on Friday Evening, Oct. 1st, 5-8 p.m. at Alloway Funeral Home, 315 E. Nancy Anne Carroll of Holland, PA died peacefully on Wednesday September 22, 2021 at her residence at Holland Village. She was 90 years young. Born in Pittsburgh, Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Carroll, who died in 1997. Daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Chambers) Doughty of Pittsburgh, PA. She formerly lived in Merchantville NJ, Bensalem, Philadelphia and Leesburg FL. Her professional career spanned many years in the insurance industry, having worked for Richard Hardenberg Insurance, Group of Marlton, NJ and retired from Cigna Insurance Co. Phila, as an Executive Manager. Nancy Anne is survived by her daughter Patricia (Carroll) Haneman and her husband Niel of Washington Crossing, PA and her 3 devoted grandchildren; Colin, Chelsea and Kylee Haneman. Robert Johnston

Robert A. Johnston, 85, formerly of Pennsauken and Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Samaritan Center, Voorhees, NJ. Born in Camden, NJ, Robert was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and former Captain of the Pennsauken First Aid Squad, and the former Lakes Emergency Squad of Medford. He was also a member of the Niagara Fire Co. in Merchantville, and the Odd Fellows in Medford. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rose Johnston (nee Odor); and his children, Robin Sammons, and Jeffrey Johnston and his wife Sheila McGinn. Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
