Welcome to The Sunflower Garden. This garden is brought to you by Incredible Edible Merchantville in partnership with The Merchantville Green Team.  We would like to give a special thanks to Chris Mattern and Beth Manning for all of their volunteer efforts. Why Sunflowers? Not only are sunflowers beautiful, but they have a special ability to draw heavy metals from the soil. As this path used to be a railroad, there is a known risk for the potential of heavy metal leaching into the soil.

Our two Paw-Paw saplings at Wellwood Park are growing strong! Merchantville has lots of residents who buy into Incredible Edible's mission and have made a commitment to sustainable living by modeling a variety of ways to participate as responsible land stewards of their yards. Making your lawn a gentler "eco-friendly" environment takes some planning but isn’t difficult to do. And, the outcome will provide a regenerative green space - as seen on the corner of Chapel & Stanley - that reduces your carbon footprint, nurtures food security

Right off the Merchantville Circle on Wisteria Avenue in Pennsauken lives a jungle of floral gardens lovingly nurtured by owner, Corrine Raleigh. She loves flowers and creating arrangements - all backyard grown and chemical free - and has made it her goal is to make her yard a sanctuary for butterflies and other pollinators. Incredible Edible Merchantville invites you to help us get ready for our 150th and Memorial Day celebrations in Wellwood Park by joining friends and neighbors to clean, refresh and showcase this beautiful green space in all it's natural beauty! Grab your rake and broom, put on some gloves and meet us on Saturday, May 11th from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at the Wellwood Park Gazebo.  A park that is clean and well-maintained offers a safe and enjoyable place for people to visit for hiking, picnicking, sporting activities, or just relaxing

This year Incredible Edible (IE) Merchantville is participating in the Knit For Food Knit-A-Thon on Saturday, 3/23/24 from 12:00-10:00 p.m. at Eclipse Brewing. Our 10-hour knitting and crocheting marathon will raise funds for hunger and food insecurity. Our goal is to raise $1,000 to support food security through Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry and Meals on Wheels.
