Hydrant flushing scheduled

The MPWC's second round of Hydrant Flushing for 2017 is set for Sunday, September the 24th thru the 28th and Sunday October the 1st through the 5th. If you know anyone who would like to be kept up to date on which streets will be flushed on what night, please like and share our Facebook page!

Borough holiday hours notice

Trash and Recycle collection for the first week of September will be on Saturday, September 9th due to the Labor Day Holiday. Cans may be brought to the curb after 3:00PM on Friday. Borough offices will be closed on Monday, September 4th in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.

Snow removal reminder

The Department of Public Works would like to ask all residents who can remove their cars from the streets to do so in order to assist them with plowing and clearing borough roads. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Please please call the Public Works department at 856-665-0590 or the Borough Clerk at 662-2474 x 103 with any concerns regarding plowing or your streets. In the event of an emergency please call 911. For non-emergencies contact the Merchantville Police at 856-662-0500. Residents are also asked to comply with the "No Parking When Road Snow Covered" signs which are posted on Park Avenue, Centre Street and Maple Avenue to assist the snow plows in clearing the roads after a storm. Once the roadway has been plowed "curb to curb", residents may resume parking on these streets. Any questions regarding parking can be addressed to Chief Wayne Bauer at 856-662-0507.

Memorial Day 2016

Memorial WreathAnnual Memorial Day services will take place in Wellwood Park at Maple & Linden Avenue on Monday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. There will be a wreath laying, guest speakers and refreshments. The program will be conducted by the F.W.Grigg Post 68 Deputy Commander, The American Legion, Merchantville, New Jersey. In the event of inclement weather the service will be held at the Community Center, 212 Somerset Avenue.

Public Notice: Snow Emergency

9:15 AM Update: Merchantville Public Works has been out plowing the roads since 4AM. Each street has been plowed twice. (There has been an issue in gaining access to Merwit Court that is currently being addressed.) Despite these efforts, the roadways still remain in difficult driving condition. It is CRITICAL for the Borough’s snow removal efforts that residents stay off the roads except for emergency circumstances. Merchantville remains under a state of snow emergency as declared by the governor.

Art Reception Planned

Eilanarts Center invites you to join them on January 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for the art reception of their current show "The Shape of Color".
